Playing for the Vietnam campaign, the player will have to complete many small tasks: to plant explosives, loot a convoy, and ambush. In the course of the plot, the soldier receives the rank of sergeant and takes part in the attack on the Imperial Palace in Hue. He bravely battles opponents from South Vietnam, surrounded by picturesque landscapes of rice fields, endless jungles and villages bathed in the light of the setting sun. The story is told from the perspective of a newly minted young soldier of the North Vietnamese army. The Vietnam faction, on the other hand, has a more war-focused plot. The tasks of the protagonist include commanding the marines, paving the way to victory with minimal losses, competently building the tactics of warfare, thinking over everything to the smallest detail. In the story, Douglas is accompanying a military journalist, who is filming a report on how during the truce, the celebration of the traditional new year in the city of Hue takes place. In the US campaign, the protagonist becomes Douglas Boone, the captain of the Vietnam Military Aid Mission for the US Army. The game features two campaigns: Vietnam and the United States.
